Photographs and video about an annual event run by Yusef "Bunchy" Shakhur. "Bunchy" has worked to reduce crime and create deeper community through empowerment in the neighborhood where he grew up- a neighborhood notorious for crime and blight. The video was directed by Andrea Claire Morningstar for Good Problem Productions and Michigan Roundtable.

For 9 years, Yusef "Bunchy" Shakur has been hosting an annual backpack giveaway and block party on the street where he grew up as part of his "Restoring the Neighbor Back to the Hood" initiative. This past year he partnered with Michigan Roundtable to add a storytelling element to the event. Michigan Roundtable's Race2Equity project and exhibit "We Don't Want Them Here" was featured on the first floor of the future "Restoring the Neighbor Back to Hood" community center. In this video we meet Yusef, the people involved with the exhibit, see the neighborhood, and learn about their powerful collaboration.
